Accounting Yard is committed to protecting user data and providing transparent policies regarding data retention and deletion. This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request the removal of their personal data from our Learning Management System (LMS) and outlines the conditions under which data is retained or deleted.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all users of Accounting Yard LMS, including students, instructors, and administrators who have created an account, enrolled in courses, or interacted with the platform.

3. User Data We Collect

We may collect and store the following types of data as part of our LMS services:

  • Active Accounts: User data is retained as long as the account remains active.

5. How to Request Data Deletion

Users who wish to delete their personal data from the LMS can follow these steps:

    • Provide your registered email, username, and reason for deletion.
  2. Verification Process:
    • To protect user data, we will verify your identity before processing the request.

    • Data deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days.
    • You will receive confirmation once your request has been completed.

6. What Happens After Data Deletion?

  • Your account and associated personal data will be permanently deleted from our system.
  • Course progress, certificates, and records will no longer be accessible.
  • Any forum discussions, comments, or shared content may remain but will be anonymized.
  • Some financial and legal records may be retained for compliance reasons.

7. Exceptions & Limitations

  • Data required for legal, security, and compliance purposes cannot be deleted.
  • Deleting an account does not automatically remove transaction histories.
  • Deleted accounts cannot be recovered—users must create a new account to rejoin.
